My Project
The variety of snacks will ensure that students have a different kind throughout the week. With such a large gap from lunch to the end of the day, students get hungry.
A hungry student is going to be too focused on their stomach, not learning to read.
Maslow’s theory states that students' base needs have to be met for them to move up. Hunger affects many people in our community. Kindergarteners are still learning how to be students. If their tummy is growing or hurting, that is all they are able to tell you and focus on.
Having snacks in the classroom provides a brain break and a chance to refuel for the rest of the day.
While some snacks are donated by families, many of them can’t afford to send something for their child, let alone the whole class.
Thank you for supporting our classroom so that every student has a snack to get through the school day.
