This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing, but, they are struggling during a pandemic and are having difficulty coping. They work hard, they strive to succeed, and they participate every day!
I have been creating prize and reward stations where students can receive a prize for their hard work.
These are used to boost their confidence and keep them working!
I am requesting a variety of candies such as assorted candy for our rewards snack closet that will be used during math and science. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like everything to be individually wrapped and to reward kids for doing their best in these hard times for them. Students can choose these candies or a variety of others as a prize on days when they are trying their hardest.
Earning a prize keeps them motivated when completing important STEM assignments in the classroom. It also keeps them happily coming to school each day, so they can work with classmates on vocabulary development, planning, and experimenting during lessons.
