My Project

Who can work with an empty stomach? My students are in a Title I schools where most of the children come from low income families. Our class is made up of students with and without special needs. But it doesn't matter who the student is, we all can not work and focus when we are hungry. We have a late lunch and the students always complain about being hungry . We understand that it is hard for any one to focus and work hard when we are thinking about our growling stomachs.

These snacks will help us provide a snack during the morning before lunch so the students can focus on working till it's lunch time.

Snack time also allows the students to chat with their friends and for the teachers to spend time with the students to check in with them. When the students aren't thinking about hunger and food, they can focus more of their energy on learning and having fun!

Some of our student do no celebrate any holiday or special events that happen around them. Some of the snacks will be used to create treat bags and celebrations for the students in the classroom. We celebrate all students and all of their achievements so these treats will be great appreciated.
