This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the proud teacher of 21 enthusiastic English Language Learners students. My students are wonderful kids who just came to the United States with their parents in search of a better life. My school is a Title I school. 92% of the students at our school come from households with below-average income, which means that almost all my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

These amazing students show up each day eager to learn with smiles on their faces.

They are ready to learn and adapt to a brand-new environment. They are resilient problem solvers!

My Project

My students look forward to snack time every day. It's the little break they need in their day to rest their brains and re-energize. We play outside 20 minutes each day, and the students always look forward to this part of the day. Many students are unable to bring in their own food, and they stay (after school hours) twice a week for ESOL tutoring, by that time they are tired, and a snack is needed.

I am looking for snacks that will help me create a caring and welcoming learning environment for my students, providing the best learning experience I can.
