My Students

I am an AIS teacher located in New York City. I teach eager kindergarten, first, second, and third-grade children who are struggling readers and writers. My students are devoted to learning but need a different approach toward their education. They need small group instruction that uses many types of manipulatives.

When my children are successful, the look of wonder in their eyes is a sight to behold.

It is truly what makes being a teacher the best job in the world.

My Project

My students are real troopers and are working hard while we are distance learning. They are eager to learn and it rather breaks my heart that we are not in the same room. One thing I noticed is that we are always looking for something to eat. Not all my children have snacks at home.

Imagine the thrill a child feels when they open a delivery that is filled with selzer, cookies, and candy.

They are now ready for snack time during our remote school day.

Sometimes I think people don't realize that little children really need to have a special treat. This might not be the most healthy treat, but I guarantee you that it will be a truly welcome treat.
