This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our elementary school is a small school with a big heart . We currently are running a Girls Inc mental health awareness group with 19 students . We host weekly for an hour after school. During this time we learn to identify emotions and feelings: how they show up in our bodies and how we can overcome these feelings . We like to have a small snack for the girls because that they have an early lunch period and they come famished to our group. We are a Title 1 school and are currently in the 8 poorest school district in our borough. Please consider helping us provide snacks for these amazing girls
