My Project

Middle School is hard enough as it is. My students are at a critical age in their development and growth as young people in a densely populated, quickly changing community disproportionately affected by long term effects of the global pandemic. It is important they have a place to get a snack if they have not had breakfast.

Teenagers are notoriously hungry.

It’s difficult to be a young person in middle school let alone learn and grow if you have not had enough to eat. My students deserve to warm up their food for lunch or have a healthy snack when they need it. I would like to offer them a snacking sanctuary with a mini fridge and microwave.
