My Project

My students are amazing! They come to school ready to learn and knowing they will be safe, loved, and cared for. With almost 900 students we have three different lunchtimes to keep from having things too crazy. This has some students eating at 10 while others wait until almost noon. With a start time of 7:30 and end time of 2:40, that leaves some students with almost five hours of learning time without a snack.

My students will help fight hunger by helping to create a snack pantry, so those who need a little bit of sustenance between meals can get a quick bite and get right back to learning.

The fruit snacks, granola bars, pretzels, and other food items will help keep students focused on learning instead of rumbling tummies.
