This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my students are creative, energetic, and full of questions. They come to school each day excited to see their friends and to attend their favorite classes.

Our school is a Title I school located in Miami, Florida where many students have to overcome immense barriers outside of their school lives.

Unfortunately, this results in many having a lack of supplies and resources.

Each child in my classroom works very hard. We are always striving to incorporate a variety of group work, learning strategies, and texts to ensure that students' needs can be met. This is where we need your help!

My Project

Students deserve to be rewarded and having snacks are the perfect incentive to keep them going!

Healthy snacking contributes to our student's physical and emotional well-being.

Of course, fruits are the most ideal snack. However, because fresh produce is not always available, and cannot be stored in our cabinets, packaged snacks are the next best thing! Did you know that snacking can boost moods and lower anxiety?

It is important for students to have the motivation that they need and engagement to continue learning throughout an 8 hour school day. As a teacher, you will not only be helping the students but you will be assisting me greatly as well to be able to not only incentivize but also provide support where it may be needed. These incentives will be used throughout the end of the second nine weeks all the way through to the fourth quarter.
