My Project

The students are from the South Shore neighborhood which is a poverty-stricken area, and receive 100% free breakfast and lunch. Even though the students receive free breakfast and lunch, they are usually still hungry throughout the day and are in need of a snack.

Some of them don't eat at all unless they are at school so they are left extremely hungry even after scheduled eating times.

Also because lunch is provided by the number and small amounts, oftentimes students are still hungry and aren't able to get extra due to the lack of. The snacks would also allow them to continue to focus on the assignments at hand, keeping them productive students and not worrying about being hungry. This would also allow us to be able to send home food to eat for dinner.
