This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On a typical school day, my students have "lunch" in the morning because our school is co-located, which is why I started a snacks pantry for my kids.

A well-stocked snack pantry isn't just about tasty treats; It's a way to ensure students can have a "Snack Oasis" where they can go to in the last hours of the school day to pick up a snack, and it's also a way of fostering learning in kids.

I feel my kids have a greater chance of learning if their tummies aren't empty. Snacks are also a way to also show my students that I care about their well-being as much as I do about their grades.
