Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are diverse, hardworking, and full of potential. Many are English Language Development (ELD) and International students who are adjusting to a new language and culture. Despite the challenges they face, they come to school eager to learn and share their unique perspectives. They remind me daily of the power of resilience and the importance of community in learning. What makes my students special is their drive to succeed, even when the odds seem stacked against them. Their curiosity is boundless, and they are always willing to embrace new opportunities for growth.

The resources I’m requesting—snacks for the classroom—will make a tangible difference in my students’ ability to focus and engage in learning.

Many of my students come from backgrounds where food insecurity is a reality, and having access to a snack can make a significant difference in their ability to concentrate and participate fully. By providing these snacks, I can help ensure that no student has to worry about hunger during class, allowing them to focus on their studies and be present in the moment.

My goal is simple: to create a learning environment where my students can thrive without the distraction of hunger. I want to help them stay energized, focused, and motivated throughout the school day so they can reach their full potential.
