it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing snacks to my students at our school will make a significant difference in their learning experience. Many of these students face food insecurity, and hunger often becomes a barrier to staying focused in class. By providing snacks and treats, I aim to ensure they have the fuel they need to stay energized and fully engaged in learning. Without the distraction of an empty stomach, they will be able to concentrate better, participate more actively, and absorb the material being taught.
The items I'm requesting, such as snacks, will help address immediate needs and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
My goal for this project is simple yet impactful: to remove a small but crucial obstacle in my students' path to success. By offering snacks, I hope to improve their focus, motivation, and overall classroom performance. This project is about giving them the extra boost they need to excel academically, regardless of the external challenges they face.
What makes my students special is their resilience and determination to overcome adversity. Growing up in Maryvale, a low-income neighborhood in Arizona, these students face numerous obstacles daily, yet they come to class with the same curiosity and drive as any other child. They are eager to learn and succeed despite the difficulties of their environment.
Providing these snacks is just one small way I can support them on their journey, showing them that their hard work and persistence are seen and valued.
