Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the many issues I currently see in my classroom is the lack of accessible snacks for my students. Kids are always hungry and I noticed that not all my students have the opportunity to bring a snack from home for recess or lunch recess. I also noticed that my students are hungry and need a snack to fuel their mind and body for learning. This project was created to allow my students to grab a snack when they are feeling hungry or tired. When kids are tired they cant focus and learn, some kids need a little boost to keep it going. I buy snacks for my class all the time, this time I am kindly asking donors to support my 5th graders. Snacks are a great way to motivate students to work while being focused and not worrying about having a small bite. Due to the inflation and all the expensive bills parents and families have to pay, some families are cant afford to buy snacks for their kids. Thats how this project will come alive and support all my students.

When they feel hungry and need a bite, they can go to our snack bar and have something to eat.
