Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have created this project in order to aid in providing my students with a much needed snack during the school day. My classroom is full of bubbly, energetic 5 and 6 year olds that have a hard time focusing when their tummies are hungry.

The majority of my students live below the poverty live and arrive in my classroom on a daily basis hungry due the lack of food at home.

A small snack can provide them with a quick and convenient source of energy to help them stay focused and alert throughout the day. A snack can also help to curb hunger pangs and prevent distractions, allowing students to maintain their concentration and attention span.

Additionally, snacking can provide essential nutrients and minerals that may be lacking in their regular meals, such as a mid-morning or afternoon pick-me-up to combat fatigue and brain fog. By providing students with a snack, I can help support their academic performance, mood, and overall well-being.
