Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love the energy and curiosity my students bring every day! Since our grade level has the second lunch before noon, many get hungry in the afternoon, especially since we have snack time after returning from a special like P.E.

Half of my students don't bring a snack and have voiced their families can't afford them, making it even harder for them to focus.

The snacks not only help during snack time but also throughout the day, especially for students who arrive late and miss breakfast. As their teacher, I wish I could provide this for them, but supplying snacks for more than half the class each week is a significant expense. As we near the end of the year, I want to make sure they finish strong. With your support, I can make sure every student has the fuel they need to stay focused and energized and finish the year at their best!
