Snack Attack for My Young Scholars and Debate Team!

My Project

**Project Overview: Fueling Minds: Snacks for Hungry Learners**

**Goal:**

Our goal is to provide students with access to snacks to help them stay focused and energized throughout the school day. By addressing hunger and ensuring students are nourished, we aim to create an environment where they can thrive academically and socially. Many of my students also participate in our High School Debate Team, and are spending many hours on Saturdays at Debate Competitions, and are always in need of snacks!

**Why This Project Matters:**

Many students come to school hungry, which can negatively impact their concentration, mood, and overall learning experience. For some, school may be their only reliable source of nutrition. By offering snacks like granola bars, fruit snacks, and whole-grain crackers, we can bridge the gap and ensure every student is ready to engage fully in their education.

**How the Resources Will Be Used:**

Donations will be used to purchase a variety of non-perishable snacks that students can eat when they are in need of a quick bite to eat. These snacks will be distributed to students during the school day as needed, and at weekend Debate Team competitions, ensuring that no child has to face the distraction of hunger while trying to learn.

**Impact on Students:**

This project will benefit over 150 students in Grades 9-12 by:

- Improving focus and academic performance.

- Reducing the stress and stigma associated with hunger.
