My Students

My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.

My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher everyday.

I want to grow with them!

Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.

My Project

Every Friday we have an amazing hour called MakerSpace. During this time our students work in small groups using the STEM resources we have to problem solve, code, experiment, design, and create. My students long for this science time and grow so much during this time. MakerSpace inspires my students to become tomorrow's leaders, scientists, engineers, and more.

The future is in my classroom today, has been said over and over again, but it is so true.

My students are the future and I want to help prepare them whatever they want to do in their lives.

When I asked my students about the items I was thinking about requesting for this project they were so excited. The microscope, the experiments, the jewelry making kits, and the rock tumbler were missing pieces in our MakerSpace time. These resources will continue to excite and engage my girl and boy scientists! STEM is such a huge part of our world, I just want to kick that off for each of my students.

The spinners, partner sticks, markers, erasers, hooks, and letters are for our guided math and guided reading centers. During centers my students learn a ton from each other and also get the opportunity to meet with me in small groups.

The books are a huge part of this project. Every single book in this project will remind my students that they can code, that they can be scientists, and that they can inspire and change the world. I believe in every single one of my students and I can't wait to see what this project sparks in my classroom, both literally and figuratively!
