My Project

My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day. Throughout the year I am teaching ten sections of STEM classes at four different grade levels in our middle school. My classes are STEM, Robotics, Digital Applications, and Pre-engineering design. I am loving all the unique learning that is happening. My classes have been filled with robotics, designing, planning, creating, building, critical thinking and so much more!

Design is a universal language where students can be as creative as they would like.

I want my students to be able to take designing as far as they want to.

These items will be used in all of our classrooms during MakerSpace and Fab Lab. Students love to design and create in such unique ways. Now that my sixth grade students who want to keep pushing themselves get to design 3D prints, along with my seventh and eighth grade students I am in need of more 3D filament options. The snap circuits, paint pens, and styrofoam will be added to our fifth grade MakerSpace and will allow students to continue to create their unique designs. The hot glue guns, sharpies, scissors, and cardboard will be used by both my fifth grade and eighth grade in a variety of projects. Lastly, the tack strips, tape, and hooks will add more wall space for digital designs created.

Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
