Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Think about coming into a kindergarten classroom with students who have varied ethnic backgrounds and whose primary language is not English. These students often need extra support for learning a new language - English! These kindergartners always manage to come to school with the biggest smiles on their faces no matter what. Every day, I teach my students the English language, as well as the Next Generation Science Standards.

Many of these students do not have English language support at home.

I immerse them in the English language and help them become successful. My school prides itself on being able to bring students together for creative endeavors. With help from donors, we've already been able to fund multiple successful and engaging projects.

My Project

This school year has been like no other (as most people day), but this is school year is defiantly more unique that even last year with the school stopping abruptly. This year my kinders started off as coming to into school 1-2 days a week and doing the rest of the learning remotely. Then they were switched to 2-3 days a week in-person and the rest remote. Finally, they have been in-person 5 days a week right after the holiday break. But what was that for...for us to be quarantined every other week for the 1st month of 5 days a week in-person. My kinders this year have been through it all and they always have a smile on their faces and love to laugh. They deserve the best Stepping-Up Ceremony possible and the best gifts ever.

Please help me show my kinders how special and amazing they are by gifting them a personalized crayon box, bubbles, and other amazing gifts when they go to 1st Grade.

I love my class so much this year and I know this will bring a smile to their faces. They deserve the world!
