My Project

Middle school is already hard, bodily changes makes it worse. One of the things that some students have issues with is personal hygiene. Whether it be a just a day where they forgot to put deodorant on or caused by financial insecurity, these problems can be extremely embarrassing for students. This can cause a loss of focus on their learning and take a toll on students' confidence.

Every student deserves to have access to personal hygiene products.

I would like to have a "take what you need" station in the classroom for students to discreetly take personal supplies like deodorant, toothbrushes, feminine products, and other needs to maintain healthy hygiene. I want my classroom to feel like a safe and caring space for my students, and this is one step in showing my students that I care for their health and wellness, and takes one less worry off of them.
