My Project

Do you ever feel stressed, frustrated, overwhelmed, or anxious? Would it be helpful to have a safe, comfortable environment to calm down? This safe environment in the corner of my classroom is so that students can self-sooth and retreat when their senses become overloaded.

A soft rug to sit on, a weighted blanket or weighted neck wrap, calming posters, fidget toys are some things in this safe environment that helps students validate their feelings and sooth in healthy ways so that they can resume their work and interactions with their peers in the classroom.
