My Students

I teach first grade an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom in Queens, New York. My classroom is special place with a rich composition of children from diverse backgrounds, particularly serving a large population of English Language Learners and students with disabilities. My classroom is a collaborative learning environment where special education and general education students work side by side and learn together. My co-teacher and I work hard to create a learning environment where every single learner, no matter their needs, has the tools to succeed.

My Project

A Smart TV would help drive instruction and increase motivation in the classroom. My special education and English Language Learners thrive off of visuals to support their learning. We are currently without a display system to present material to a large group.

My classroom is an interactive learning environment with a large focus in Computer Science and STEM.

Having a Smart TV would help us interactively code programs as a whole group. A Smart TV would help us access the online material for our math program. It would also help support reading and phonics through streaming videos. We would also be able to use the Smart TV to support Social Studies by exploring around the world.
