Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school serves low-income, high poverty students. One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! Students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My ultimate goal is to provide the best education and safe learning environment for all my students by supporting their everyday needs.
My students are self motivated and when they have the resources and tools they need, it brings out the best of who they are and where they want to be.
Preparing our students for the future is crucial for educational success!
Young minds need to be challenged and no two students are the same. My students are all willing and ready to learn new things and enjoy sharing what they learned with family.
My Project
By providing my students with daily snacks which can play an important role in managing kids' hunger and boosting nutrition, they will stay focused and energized throughout the day. A well-timed snack can even out spikes in hunger and provide a much-needed energy boost between meals.
These snacks would allow our students to have enough energy to keep on learning throughout the day and grow their brains!
This project is important because our students have a very long day and need some different yummy snacks to help them stay engaged in learning. These student requested snacks will provide my students with access to snacks they do not otherwise have access to. These cookies will provide them with an outlet to manage hunger especially with those who have not eaten breakfast, which can be often within our school setting.
