This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a very close knit group and are supportive of each other. Like most inner city urban schools our students come with problems and issues that affect their daily lives. We are with them and do our best to give them what they need to better themselves. We are a Montessori school and have grades prekindergarten through twelfth grade. The Center for Learning program provides special needs students the nurturing and skills to provide a basic living for themselves. In my banking program we want them to understand the nature of working and how to manage money. Please help us support their needs by donating some essential money learning tools.
My Project
The use of visual and hands on experiences for our special needs students will give them a more real world feel to understand how to be a consumer. The use of these products will offer the students a better understanding of how to spend money, how to earn money, how to count money, how to save money. The use of these can also benefit the students to practice at home and remotely due to the current school climate. It will lighten up their day and bring them great joy.
