My students are from a small town and a small school system. They range from eighth grade to seniors in high school. The majority of my students have grown up together and are very close. They spend their spare time working with family or in a local gas station.
Many students do not have access to technology at home so school is the only place they are learning to utilize computers.
They are very active in their school through sports, BPA, and National Honors Society. They also help with sporting event. Many of the students are looking at going to college in the future. They want to succeed in school.
My Project
The Chromebooks I am requesting will help the students stay connected with the 21st century in learning how to use programs, in the classroom, to collaborate and successfully complete assignments.
Chromebooks will help the students advance in this technologically advance world that has become a part of the classroom.
With the more technologically advanced programs out there for, not only English, but other subjects, the ability to provide the students with computers in the classroom helps aid in the learning and teaching process.
When teaching writing the ability to have the students follow along on their own platform with the assistance of the resources in the classroom that are not available in a central computer lab.
