My Students

As a teacher in a low income area, I try to teach my students the hands-on aspects of learning. My students are learning to work with each other, sharing their ideas and experiences to be successful. I don't want them to just use computers to learn, but to use each other to solve problems or to interact with one another. I want them to be kids that can work together as a team. I would like to give the students things they can play with outside as kids making memories and stories to share when they go home.

My Project

The classroom I am receiving this year is small with lots of students that will be learning in it. I am hoping to create a space to give students the opportunity to move around without big bulky desks. We are focusing on STEM and want to be able to use our floor space if we need to without desks getting in the way.

My students are very excited for this year being able to have a classroom for our science time.

I will be able to display my science things so students can explore more and get excited for science learning. The tables will give us the room needed to achieve this experience.
