Our rural demographic has us behind neighboring schools and we need your help to grow!
Our school is a small kindergarten through sixth grade campus.
This is our first year offering students in fourth through sixth grade the opportunity to join a performing ensemble such as band, orchestra, and choir. We have outstanding interest in these areas, but we are challenged by financial issues. Some students this year had to quit because their families financial problems at home made it so that their parents could not afford the monthly rental.
We have some great students that value education and cherish the opportunity to learn an instrument. Because most of our students come from family run farms, work is not foreign to them. My students show their tenacity for learning with enthusiasm and eagerness.
My Project
If our wish is fulfilled, we will be able to give our students the chance to play a mallet instrument in both our school band and orchestra. We are a small school with a big interest in music. Helping to fund this project will allow us to add mallet percussion to our growing ensembles. Our students will be able to study mallet percussion with this addition otherwise it will have to go unfulfilled without your help.
This project will make a big difference in adding mallet percussion instruments to our ensemble.
Not only will this serve use in the band, but it will also be used in the orchestra as well. This year we have the highest student interest in band, orchestra, and choir music electives. Capturing the interest of students is vital to keeping them involved in a performing ensemble and with your help we can do just that.
