My Students

My students love drumming. They can't get enough of it! We use it to maintain a steady beat and to use rhythm to accompany songs.

My students are enthusiastic lovers of music.

They enjoy playing songs on the drums and learning drumming of different cultures. My low-income, multi-cultural, suburban school has 800 students who would benefit greatly from having these drums and mallets for our classroom.

My Project

Drums are an important part of every culture, many of which are represented at my school. With these drums and mallets, we will be able to explore more about rhythms from around the world. We also get to accompany more songs with the mallets (and our current glockenspiels) and drums.

My students will get to make more music, which is a true blessing in their lives.

My students constantly tell me how thankful they are for having a music class. It gives them a chance to explore and be free.
