Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been teaching Special Education for over 12 years, but this is my first year as an ENL teacher. While being a Special Education teacher, my students needed a variety of resources, differentiated instruction and heavy intervention at times and guess what? My English Language Learners need the same!

English Language Learners need small group, differentiated instruction that is meaningful, tailored, and individualized!

I love creating and designing what I teach, but I don't always have the time to design instruction the way I'd like to. Meaningful instruction can take time, but slow and steady will win the race!

Teachers Pay Teachers offers wonderful resources for students, no matter the level they are in! I know I will be able to find what I need to help my students learn the language and excel academically. I will use the small white board when working with my small group to teach them strategies step by step and the pocket chart to help keep their progress organized. I will use the anchor chart to display meaningful strategies I don't want them to forget. With your support, I can give my students what they need to successfully learn English, at their pace, and have fun while they're at it.
