My Project

Our students are always eager to dive into hands-on learning, and this project is the perfect way to combine science with fun! We’re planning an exciting end-of-year activity that will teach them about the concept of friction in a memorable and engaging way. With a 150-foot slip n’ slide and camping tarps, students will explore how different materials and substances can reduce friction and make sliding easier. This interactive experiment brings physics to life, showing them the real-world impact of the concepts they’ve been studying in class.

This project is about more than just science—it’s about creating an unforgettable experience that keeps students excited about learning.

By using the slip n’ slide as a tool, we’ll encourage teamwork, curiosity, and critical thinking as they test different variables to see how friction changes. The camping tarps will not only help with setup but also allow us to expand the activity for more experiments, ensuring every student gets to participate fully. This kind of active, joyful learning sparks creativity and helps students retain what they’ve learned in an unforgettable way.
