This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I recently transferred to a new school after being at my previous school for 10 years. I am fortunate to have two classrooms to use but our "Sleep Room" as my preschoolers refer to it, has some mighty ancient cots to take their rest times daily.
My students need and deserve new, clean, safe cots for their daily quiet times.
Our school was once a charter school and I suspect that these cots may be left from their old Head Start program.
We are cleaning out this room and want to make it as clean and safe as possible for our youngest scholars.
