This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of enthusiastic and introspective young people. They give everything they have to excel in their academics especially in Physical Education. They inspire me to do this work to the best of my abilities every day and are the best co-teachers anyone could ask for.

My Project

Learning in Physical education is an amazing opportunity for students to develop their manipulative and locomotor skills, along with practicing social emotional skills through active collaboration with their peers. The equipment we are asking for will assist students by giving them more options to play with and further diversify the the type of activities they will be able to participate in to enhance their experiences.

Finding different ways to have fun while exploring which activities interest us to become and remain physically active is one of the biggest adventures we embark on in physical education.

The jump ropes and hula hoops are two manipulative objects that we can use to improve our cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance and body composition. Other items such as the basketballs, gator skin balls and yarn balls give students options when learning how to dribble, catch, throw and kick.
