Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The MP Ski Club vision is to make winter sports, particularly skiing and snowboarding, accessible to all young people, regardless of background or socioeconomic status. We strive to create an inclusive, equitable environment where every child—no matter their circumstances—has the opportunity to experience the joy, challenge, and personal growth that come with winter sports. Through community partnerships, outreach, and supportive programming, we envision a future where barriers to participation are removed, and all youth can enjoy the unity, camaraderie and unique experience that winter sports provide.

MP Ski Club students are provided with everything they need for a day on the snow - Jacket, ski pants, helmet, goggles, thermal base layers, socks, lift ticket and equipment.

Ski Club costs our students absolutely nothing to participate, thanks to projects like this. The items requested here are to help us maintain our inventory stock for student use, adjust and tune skis, and make the equipment ready for the kids to take out on the snow. 50 students participate in 5 trips during the season - a true learn to ski/ride program. 20 of those students are returning from last year, and 30 are experiencing snow sports for the first time. Thank you for helping us maintain our equipment and keep our program going!
