Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students make up the third grade ICT class in a high poverty school in Washington Heights. Despite the fact that almost 90% of the students in my school are from low-income​ families, my class is made up of an amazing group of children who love to learn. These children love school. They are inquisitive, creative, and very enthusiastic. They absolutely cannot wait to get back to school. I can't wait to watch them grow even more this year!

My Project

We are returning to the classroom and are excited to do our best and safest learning! All books, pencils, paper, and manipulatives might need a home like the headphones, dry erase sleeves and pencil cases requested.

This will keep us prepared and ready to be together but apart at a safe distance.

I have mixed feelings about returning to the classroom. I am concerned about my loved ones, but they support me in knowing that best learning happens in person. I am excited to be in the classroom where my students will have the safe opportunity to prepare themselves, 3rd grade is a pivotal year and I am attempting to make it as safe as possible.
