Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My co-teacher and I use a teaching model called parallel teaching where the students are split in half and we each take one group and teach them the math lesson. One group is in the front of the classroom and the other is in the back. I take my group to the back and I have them push desks together to form a group. Recently, my co-teacher and I have rearranged the room where there is now space in the back for another rug!
With this rug, my students will be able to come to the back of the classroom for their lesson without having to push desks together, put them back together, or sit on the cold floor.
It will allow for smoother transitions which would be a huge help!
