My Students

I teach 3rd and 4th grade special education in Norfolk, VA.

My students live in an urban area and typically come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students work hard to overcome obstacles every day, but they push through and always persevere. I am so proud of their hard work and the progress they make.

My Project

The space under my small group instruction table is quiet small. My students are often bunched in or their leg chair gets caught in someone else's chair. This creates distractions and often takes away from teaching and learning.

These stools would utilize space and increase instructional time.

I know my students would be relieved to no longer need to carry their chairs across the room and/or get stuck to another chair. These stools could also be used on the carpet for instruction or in other various centers around the classroom.
