Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love how eager and resilient my students are—they come to class with curiosity and a desire to learn, even on the toughest days. They're a diverse group, each with unique strengths, and I want to create a space that allows them to thrive in ways that fit their individual learning styles.

The flexible seating options will make a huge difference.

By giving students the ability to choose where and how they work, we’ll be fostering a more comfortable, creative, and focused environment. Some students are more engaged when they can sit on a cushion or lounge in a chair, while others prefer a more traditional desk. With these seating options, they can experiment and find what works best for them.

My goal for this project is to help my students feel empowered in their learning space and to see the value of making choices that align with their needs. I want them to feel like they can succeed no matter what their learning style is, and flexible seating will give them a sense of ownership over their education.

What makes my students special is their determination and ability to support one another. They may not always have the resources they need, but they’re always willing to help each other out. They have big dreams, and my hope is that with these resources, we can give them a space where they feel comfortable and inspired to chase those dreams.
