Help me give my students a new classroom carpet. In first grade the carpet is an essential place to house students during whole group lessons. This creates a space where students can easily have purposeful talk with peers.

My Project

My first graders are a vibrant, inquisitive, and enthusiastic group of young learners. Attending a Title 1 school, with 75% of students living in poverty, they face numerous challenges but remain resilient and eager to learn. Each day, they come to school with ready to absorb new knowledge and experiences.

A new classroom rug will provide a central gathering spot for group activities, storytime, and collaborative learning.

Our current rug is worn out and no longer provides the comfort and vibrancy our classroom needs. The new, colorful rug will create a warm and inviting environment, making the classroom feel more like a welcoming, homey space.

How the Rug Will Make a Difference

* Promote Collaborative Learning: A designated area for group activities fosters teamwork and cooperation.

* Enhance Focus and Engagement: A vibrant and comfortable rug captures students' attention and keeps them engaged.

* Improve Classroom Organization: Clearly defined spaces help students understand personal space boundaries and promote better classroom management.

* Create a Warm Environment: A welcoming space reduces anxiety and makes students feel more comfortable and ready to learn.

My students are special because of their unique perspectives and boundless creativity. Despite their diverse backgrounds, they form a supportive and inclusive community where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed.
