My Students

My students are unique in that they are all TAG - Talented and Gifted - which means that they have scored at the 97th percentile or above on a standardized test of intelligence or achievement.

Worksheets aren't enough!

These students need challenges and chances to go deep into inquiry in a subject, and then the opportunities to express their learning in a variety of ways.

They need challenges and enrichment that our rural, impoverished community can't always provide. These students have the capabilities and the gifts to become wildly successful human beings - but only if we support them.

My Project

Students spend a lot of time sitting during a typical school day. Even with brain breaks, recess, and kinetic learning strategies, they still spend a lot of time in sitting motionless in their chairs.

This furniture will help them move even while they are "sitting still." Four wobble stools will be a blessing for my students who really need to wiggle around as they learn, and the stackable stools will allow my moderately-fidgety students to move around more than a traditional chair.

Also, the lightweight stools will be easy to configure into different group options so students can effortlessly move into collaboration teams.
