Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title 1 School with over 90% of students coming from families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Opportunities to work with the newest technology are few and far between. I have made it my goal over the last few years to bring nothing but the best into my classroom so that my students have the opportunity to make music the way it was meant to be made - with fun and creativity!

Music helps our students thrive in today's society and we want to allow them to be exposed to music playing.

When given these opportunities, I have seen my students blossom in a way I have never seen before, and I want to continue to try and provide them with different ways to make their musical projects soar to new heights.

My Project

With the help of these iPods our students will be able to understand and conquer part singing much easier. Being able to practice different voices individually before singing in harmony is the most effective way to teach young children. These IPods and their countless applications will help us change the pitch, tempo, and loop difficult sections in songs and empower our students to succeed in learning complex harmonies. Furthermore, in the instrumental realm we can also benefit in perfecting chord progressions for piano, guitars, bass and rhythms for the drums. Our students will be bring their craft to new heights with the help of this technology.
