My Students

I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with individualized education plans. My students have a variety of learning needs in which creating a stimulating, hands-on classroom will keep them engaged and focused. They also like to be germ-free and are constantly sanitizing and wiping off their materials during vocal music class. Many of them are working on taking responsibility of their own actions, from social distancing, throwing out used tissues, and cleaning their reusable face masks. These classroom cleaning supplies will allow my students to practice safe singing protocols in the classroom and stay healthy this year.

Students will be able to learn how to take responsibility of their own materials by keeping them clean, daily and continue to practice COVID protocols in the classroom while singing and moving in music class.

My Project

The cleaning supplies and silicone face masks will help my vocalists stay healthy and safe during our daily music classes. They will have the chance to clean their hands, music books, and wipe-off boards after writing music. Additionally, the sprays will help musicians disinfect the chairs, silicone masks, and Expo markers after their use. The silicone masks are used by placing them underneath their normal mask, creating a space for them to clearly pronounce their vowels and voices while singing.

Students will learn how to be responsible in disinfecting and organizing their music supplies, as well as a silicone mask, which will enable them to sing more clearly.
