My Project

My students are in need of quality books that will help them find songs to prepare them for musical theatre college auditions. Finding the perfect song for their age and vocal stylings is so challenging.

My goal is for my students to find great audition songs that are in their range and age group.

It is always difficult finding great song choices for high school students. Either the songs are right range vocally, but too old for them to sing realistically. Or vice versa. These books will provide more choices for them.

My students are passionate about the arts. They had to audition to be in the school. We do not charge tuition. We are a public school. So our students travel from all over Houston area to come to our school. Many get up at early in the morning to catch buses to come to school. Their days start at 5:30am and end around 7pm. They are beautiful students that love the arts and sacrifice a lot to come to our school.

We also present all school musicals. All student led. We are in constant need of extra mic belts. They always seem to disappear. We have a few left that were made by our students, but sadly they aren't the quality of these belts.
