My Students

Some how, every year we run out of supplies. They are supplies that we use every day! It's almost like the disappear into the abyss, to never been seen again. We need basic supplies and art supplies.

My students are passionate learns and come to school to better their lives.

Unfortunately, most of my students are unable to provide supplies for themselves, or when they run out they can not restock their supply. They have such impressionable, creative minds that they are always learning.

My Project

These supplies will give my student the opportunity to learn in a different way. With the forever changing curriculum in public schools, quick evaluations on students understanding is important. Using post-it notes gives the students the opportunity to quickly write down the main idea or their understanding and leaving it on their desk for me to walk around and check. Using clipboards and dry erase markers lets students move around the room to learn. We already have dry erase boards, which allows us to work out math problems and show the steps, showing the teacher by holding them up also is a way to get a quick assessment of understanding. Many children have a hard time being in their seat all day, clipboards give students the chance to be out of their seats when they are working on writing or any school work. Lastly, pens allow students the chance to correct their work and go back with an understanding of why they got it wrong seeing it in a different color.
