Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box and find solutions. They come to school eager to learn and try new things. They take brave chances each day in order to grow both personally and academically.

Eyewords will help my students grow as independent readers, as well as meet the diverse needs and abilities of ALL students in my classroom.

Eyewords combine a visual-contextual picture, auditory cue and kinesthetic action with orthographic mapping to accelerate sound mapping and sight word acquisition.

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning through visuals and multi-sensory learning. These visuals will allow my students to connect what they are learning at school and words they are seeing in everyday life!
