Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project entails some whiteboards that will allow students to show their thinking from anywhere in the classroom, especially during math. Our classroom projector projects right in front of our whiteboard and takes up half of our whiteboard space that could be used for student engagement. With mobile whiteboards, we could move all around the classroom, I can call on students and they can move wherever the whiteboards are to show their work and present to their group or whole class. I want my classroom to have more opportunities where they can learn from one another and being able to move easily around the classroom and show their thinking could help. I think this will increase student engagement and decrease wiggly bodies that are unable to focus.

Mobile whiteboards will increase student movement and engagement.

The Fujifilm Instax printer will create cute polaroids to add to classroom projects. Parents love receiving memories of their children and Polaroids would also be easy to send home with a good note about their child. One way to get them excited is to be chosen as the student of the day.
