Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today's classroom social emotional learning is the heart of teaching. If students' are not emotionally in a good place it is very hard for them to perform to their best ability or have motivation to learn. Many students have many challenges that we can only see surface deep and all forms of positive reinforcement serve as little badges of success academically, socially and behaviorally.

With these bracelets students will earn badges on their academic successes but more importantly their accomplishments social emotionally through carrying out our core values.

My classroom is an English Immersion class with all my students are second language learners making our population very diverse. My students are so goal driven, curious and hardworking learners. My students have very little and what they do have they appreciate wholeheartedly. Although these little charms are small they mean so much to my kids and why not motivate positive behaviors by letting them create their own bracelets with badges of their success.
