This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Ever since my fourth grade students returned to school from the pandemic, we have been using a lot of digital resources in the classroom. Digital resources are great and easy to use, but sometimes we want to print out and showcase some of our amazing work around the classroom! We were fortunate to get a printer, but we ran out of toner so we can't print anymore.
These printer toner cartridges will help our students publish their work, and showcase how much they have learned throughout the school year.
It will also help us make copies in the classroom when the copying machines are either jammed or broken.
My fourth grade classroom consists of 24 students who are motivated and excited about learning. As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district (87% poverty rate), I know my students face many economic hardships at home. Their families are not always able to provide the supplies they need.
