Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is a diverse melting pot full of many different personalities, learning styles, and interests. Our school is a Title I school in a low-income area. 88.4% of our students are from families living far below the poverty line. 54.8% of our students are English language learners.

My Project

I am requesting double-sided whiteboards for my student to use for language arts and math practice. Each student will have their own whiteboard that can be sanitized after each use. We will use the lined side for practicing penmanship, writing, and to show our answers during group practice. The blank side will provide the students with a workspace to show their work during math.

Having their own whiteboard will not only help to improve student engagement during lessons, but it will also help to increase student achievement in reading, writing, and math.
