Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a vibrant group of 3rd graders. They are a group of hard-working, talented, and energetic students that love to come to school. They are constantly asking questions, exploring and making sense of the world around them, all while learning a second language.

My students love to sing, dance, laugh, and express their learning.

Something that we pride ourselves on at our school is the joyful learning happening in all classrooms! What we may lack in resources we try our best to give our students other opportunities to learn and grow.

My Project

It is never too early to learn how to make wise financial decisions. This is especially true for communities of color. We will be exploring and learning what it means to spend, save and invest. The hope is that when these now third graders are much older they will remember the values and insight taught through these fun and engaging financia literacy experiences. Students will be able to ask questions, learn new vocabulary and share that knowledge with their own loved ones. I look forward to seeing the students put into practice these new set of skills.
